Tobias Wuttke

Tobias Wuttke is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Business Administration, University of Gothenburg. His research examines how technological development and industrial policy are reshaping firm hierarchies and the geographies of production and innovation in global industries—with a particular focus on automobiles, semiconductors, and lithium-ion batteries. His current project investigates the development of the European electric vehicle battery value chain. Wuttke has published on economic development, global value chains/production networks, industrial policy, state capacity, firm-level learning and capability building, and technological change in journals including Competition & Change, Development and Change, Industrial and Corporate Change, Progress in Economic Geography, and The Journal of Development Studies, among others.
